Country music singer Carolyn Bradshaw was born in approx. 1937 and was one of eleven children. In the early 1950s the family moved to Shreveport in the hope of a better life. Carolyn began singing in a famous radio country music programme called the Louisiana Hayride. She was discovered by Jim Reeves and signed to his manager’s record company. She only made a few recordings in the mid-50s, for labels including Chess, who released her final recordings. She was unhappy with her management and gave up music.
