Little Anthony and the Imperials were founded by Clarence Collins in the 1950s and named in part for its lead singer, Jerome Anthony “Little Anthony” Gourdine. The original Imperials also included Ernest Wright, Glouster “Nat” Rogers and Tracey Lord (not in picture). Their biggest hit, “Tears on my pillow” made US no. 2 R&B and no. 4 pop.
