Tenor saxophonist Herbert "Jeep" Robinson was a highly sought after sideman and session musician throughout the 1950s and beyond, and can be heard on almost all recordings by Willie Mabon, including "Cruisin'" and "Life could be miserable" (1953). His final recordings were made in 1982. Herbert Robinson is undocumented. The nickname "Jeep" was frequently given to musicians who played quickly.
